Hi there, my name is Araceli. Yes, I have read A Tale of Two Cities. I personally didn't like it, but everyone has a different opinion, of course. I found difficult to understand, of course, now I'm much older than when I first read it, I might understand it better. Keep reading and I hope you might enjoy it more than I did. That and The Red Badge of Courage were two of my least favorite books.

Hi. Yes I've read two cities a couple of times. Once in high school where I disliked it, and later on (a couple of years ago) when I did like it.

Dickens is actually a pretty modern writer for his times. His books flow better than some of his contemporary writers.

Actually, I found the three old ladies always sitting by the road knitting frightening. The French revolution was a unique period in history, and Dickens captures the flavor of the time very well.

Just my thoughts.

I actually like Charles Dickens quite a lot, but I hated "A Tale of Two Cities." It is, I think, my least favorite of his books. And I agree with Araceli that "The Red Badge of Courage" is also among my least favorites.
